There is no fast way to get rid of carpenter ants. If you need them removed quickly, it’s best to call an exterminator who is familiar with their behavior. You may also find piles of discarded wood material that looks a lot like coarse sawdust near where you suspect a nest may be located. Unlike the typical kitchen-raiding type of ant, carpenter ants may actively be destroying your house, so they definitely need to be addressed as soon as you suspect an invasion.
